🧢French Slang
We're going to talk about some cool language that'll have you totally stylish and looking great.
And no, I'm not trying to speak a foreign language or summon a demon (although, that could be cool too).
I'm just talking about the slang we use in everyday French - the stuff that makes our parents scratch their heads and wonder if we're speaking French or some kind of alien dialect.
Why this subject ?
You asked for it, I execute (check out my Insta on Wednesday, I do a poll every week to get what you want in the next newsletter).
That's what we call democracy😉
Basic French Slang Expressions
Here are some of the most commonly used French slang expressions:
"Salut" - This means "hi" or "bye"
"Ça va ?" - This is a common way to ask someone how they're doing
"Franchement" - It means "frankly" or "honestly"

It's important to note that French slang can vary by region. Here are some examples from where I live - Paris:
"Chelou" - This slang word is commonly used in Paris and means "weird" or "strange"
"Frangin" - This means "brother" or "buddy"
"Bouffer" - This means "to eat"
You might hear someone say, "On va bouffer où ce soir?" which means "Where are we going to eat tonight?"
"Taf" - This means "work”
For example, you can say "Je suis en taf jusqu'à tard ce soir" which means "I'm at work until late tonight"
⚠️Remember to use these with caution and only in informal settings
🍴Places in Paris
I am far from being a specialist of Paris but I know some addresses😉
I've been there for more than 20 years !
Let's talk about food because I'm not a big fan of touristy Paris (btw, I've never been up the Eiffel Tower).
I didn't have much inspiration (at the same time the request is not very precise) so here are some restaurants I tested recently.
The Michelin guide is over, make way for Le Guide de Carlito.

🗞️Nouvelles de la France
I will try to summarize the news of the week. Make way for the French Jimmy Fallon.
The Senate has passed the reform project to raise the legal retirement age from 62 to 64.
The financial markets have been affected this week by the fear of a major banking crisis due to the difficulties of Credit Suisse and the bankruptcy of three American banks, including Silicon Valley Bank.
The Michelin Guide has selected the best 630 restaurants in France. Only one chef (Alexandre Couillon) has been awarded a third star.
❤️Petit bonus
